All About Homophones – e-book Review

From All About Spelling comes the brand new e-book "All About Homophones".  This is a 240-page book for teaching these fun-yet-tricky words that sound alike but are spelled differently, such as flea and flee.  I sure had fun teaching my 9 year old son using the activity sheets, cross-word puzzles and games.  My son had a riot with the tongue twisters and puns included.  The homophones are organized in sections according to grade, from Grade 1 through Grade 8.  Since my son is preparing for the upcoming spelling bee, we covered them all.  Of course, you could also revisit this e-book from year to year focusing on only the words for your child’s particular grade.  The entire family enjoyed playing card games such as matching and Old Maid.  We printed the cards in the e-book on card-stock and off we went.  My 5-year-old daughter particularly enjoys the matching game.

I have a fun FREE tool for you (the Homophone Machine).  The Homophone Machine is the ultimate tool for getting kids excited about words – convert ordinary sentences into silly ones!  You’ve gotta see this Homophone Machine!

This week only, the book is available for $10 off!   Just enter the coupon code "FUN" in the customer code box during checkout. The coupon code is good through Monday, February 2, 2009.  Regular price for the e-book is $27.95 US or order the softcover version for $29.95 US plus $12.75 shipping to Canada.  Yes, the e-book is a MUCH better deal for us, especially if you order by Feb. 2nd and get it for $17.95!  See the new Homophones book now
