Welcome to day three of the 5 Days of Canadian Social Studies! Today I will show you a few great resources for teaching elementary geography in your homeschool.

Start by exploring the Canada Cool Map with your kids. Canada Cool is a website for kids to explore Canada and the fun facts that make it “cool”.

Canada, My Country is a great homeschool read aloud. It covers Canada’s physical regions, maps, symbols, and more. Lessons include fun stories and games!

Another terrific book for geography by Donna Ward is Geography, Province to Province. It includes 58 self-guided lessons with maps and reproducibles.
